Seems JV is on a race to the bottom these days to see how they can make the cheapest rubbish and sell them at the highest price.
These boots are probably worth no more than $200. The leather is paper thin, the zipper serves no purpose and is poorly integrated. The laces are far too wide and stiff, the pull loop barely fits a pinky and seems to just made to hold the laces, which defeats the purpose of both the zipper and the speed hooks. I have no idea who these boots are marketed for.
You can get a beautiful, functional, and durable PNW boot for the same or less.
