Low Rise Wide Leg Jeans

These are some of my favorite jeans that I’ve ever owned. I sized down — I’m curvy with hips and a smaller waist. They came fitted in the hips but stretched out to be perfect. I think that the dye issue that someone else mentioned is the look they are going for with these jeans. Exactly what I was looking for.

Ordered my size (26). Couldn’t get them over my butt. Ordered size 27 next. Really struggled to get past my hips. Ok maybe I need the next size - Joe’s jeans fit differently every single cut. But got the jeans up and once I zipped and buttoned - my butt was pancaked and there was a HUGE waist gap. Also - no stretch. Not even a little bit.

There is a lot of variation in the reviews related to sizing so I wanted to share my experience. For Kut jeans, I'm usually a size 27 (4). I found these in-store in a size 24 (00). Too small but that was the only size they had. I tried on some other styles of Joe's in a 27 (4) that were a little big. 26 (2) was perfect. But again, different style. I wanted these for a particular event so I needed to get the size right the first time. After agonizing for hours between 26 and 27 (first world problems, lol) I finally ordered them in 26. They arrived in less than a week and fit PERFECTLY. I love them. Of course, they've since come down in price but I'm not mad. One note - as someone else mentioned, they do make your butt look flat. I think that's an element of the style rather than fit.

The waistband had a weird color imprint where the dye was not at all symmetrical. Looked like an accident/ poor quality control. I read the reviews and normally wear a 24/25 so I ordered the 25 but they still felt small if looking for a looser fit. I may try in a 26 or even a 27. I don’t like to be squeezed into wide leg jeans. Hope that helps.

I was so excited to receive these Joe’s Jeans—this brand is usually one of my go-tos, and I own several pairs that fit great. Unfortunately, this pair was way off in sizing. I could barely get them over my hips, and the fit felt at least three sizes smaller than expected. What’s especially frustrating is that I purchased them as a final sale after reading reviews and sizing up by one, but it still wasn’t close. If you’re considering this style, I’d strongly recommend trying them on in-store rather than ordering online, because sizing is highly inconsistent. Now, I need to find someone to give these jeans to so I won't feel horrible for spending money on a lost cause.
