Detroit Derby (Women)

I love the style of these shoes, but the quality and execution are questionable. In my experience, Jeffrey Campbell shoes always run a half size small, but as other reviewers mention, these are very narrow (while the length seems fine). I usually wear a 5.5 in other brands and the 6 in these is way too narrow, but a 6.5 might be too long. I'm hoping these stretch out a bit width-wise with more wear, which they might, considering the leather is very thin (and squeaky, reminiscent of patent leather). Also the laces are just terrible. I will replace them. I'm very glad I got them on sale and didn't pay full price.

I love this shoe and am glad I was able to try it on in the store first, as I ended up going up a full size up, I normally wear a 7, but had to get an 8 to get it to fit comfortably. The laces that came with the shoe were odd, they felt like plastic, I bought simple black laces to replace them, since they looked odd; otherwise, the shoes themselves were perfect, so will give it 4 stars.
