The latex-foam midsole absorbs shock and conforms to the foot for a customized fit, while an anatomical design allows proper heel and arch support. The siped caoutchouc-rubber outsole increases traction and expels water on the deck.

Only pair of 14 year old shoes I have ever had
14 years of hard use and I am glad to see new Hurrikans in stock.
Wore the soles on the first pair, riding motorcycle is abrasive at stops. Had them resolved via Mephisto. Only in the last year has real wear started to show up.
Going to find a new pair this weekend.

The brown shoes are hard and are not wearable. I Tried to break them in for a long time and still not wearable. I also added mephisto polish and they are still hard.
The hazel nut shoes are soft and comfortable and I wear them all the time. The leather is different comparing the two pairs of shoes. I waisted my money on the brown pair.

Hurrikan broke my heart
Bad news: they didn't fit correctly...I had to send them back. Broke my heart! I own 6 other pairs of Mephisto shoes, and this one just didn't make it. They're SO well made and elegant.

Beautifully made shoe, but too loose in heel.
This is a beautiful, well-made shoe, but the heel is too wide. My foot came out with every step, so I had to return this pair. That was a shame, as I otherwise found these the perfect slip-on shoe.

Comfortable and Durable
Over the years this is my third pair of Hurrikan shoes. Additionally, I have purchased other Mephisto shoes, loafers. Outstanding products! My favorite shoe. Excellent construction, extremely comfortable! I love the fact these are handmade.

Best Boat Shoe Made
This is the finest boat shoe I have ever encountered. Beautiful, water-resistant leather perfectly sewn and coupled with the famous Mephisto pure caoutchouc air cushioned sole results in a fine walking shoe that is my everyday exceedingly comfortable "go to" shoe. It is appropriate in all but the most formal circumstances. Superbly crafted allowing previous pairs to be re-soled several times!
