'Tour' Packable Rain Boot (Women)

If you are looking for a true black this is not for you. This color is more like a charcoal grey. I wear a 9.5 shoe and went with the 10 only because I want to wear a heavier sock for winter. They fit great with a thin or thicker sock. The calf runs a bit on the smaller side. My calfs measure 14.5 and they were a bit snug but not uncomfortable. I am returning only because I want a true black. Super quick ship. I ordered and received in 2 days. I would have kept them I was just not happy with the color.

I’ve wanted a pair of Hunter rain boots for a while and when I saw these on sale, I knew it was go time! Another reviewer noted how the boot name itself is a bit misleading, it is definitely a long shafted boot, not really sure why they call it a “short” boot. So be aware if you’re looking for a short boot (less than mid calf), this is not it. I wanted a full below the knee boot so this was a perfect length for me. It hits below my knee crease by about 1-2inch, does not hit awkwardly in my knee crease or cause discomfort when sitting, but I was surprised how snug the very top of the boot shaft fit on my calf (there is a boot strap at the top purely for decor, it is not adjustable at all). It’s quite snug. I can squeeze a finger in between my leg and the boot, but it’s tight. I haven’t tried with leggings and honestly have a feeling that even a thin pair of leggings or knee high socks will be too thick and cause excess tightness. With just my bare skin, it’s snug without being too tight, so so far I’m ok with it. It is a little difficult to get the boot on/off (ever try to pull a heavy trash bag out of a tight garbage can? Think suction cup lol) this happens to my leg. Bc it’s so snug up the top of the boot and loose at my ankle (there is a TON of extra empty space down by my ankle; I wish they had designed the boot with a slightly more narrow ankle and a wider calf - I mean, who as an ankle that is thicker than their calf???) Anyway, it is a little bit of a challenge getting it on/off due to the air suction. I generally wear an 8.5 and I got a 9, I would say it’s definitely roomy but I think an 8 would have been too tight. At least with the 9 I can wear a thick pair of cabin socks for warmth. Even without socks, I was pleasantly surprised how much padding and comfort is in the foot bed itself. The quality is wonderful inside and outside of the boot. Ironically, I can’t speak to the true function of them as a waterproof boot, but I think they will hold up well in heavy rain/puddles. Overall, I like the boots and plan on keeping them. I am currently losing weight (I’m 5’7”, 168lbs right now for reference) and hope as I lose the last 18lbs that maybe my calves will shrink just enough to not be overly snug and I’ll be able to wear leggings with these boots! Overall I do recommend, but take into consideration the above info. I don’t consider myself to have thick calves, but if your a thick calf gal, I would maybe reconsider or try on before you buy! First of all, love the color--gull gray--grey with a hint of light blue. Will look good with jeans, right? And contrasted with tan/camel pants too. The best part is that these boots LOOK JUST LIKE regular Hunter boots, but are lightweight & packable! Just right for traveling & staying home, too. So excited Hunter is making these---my feet will be dry! Getting the cable knit Hunter socks to go with these, so won't have to pack another pair of boots for travel to colder parts of the world! Patting myself on my back! :)

Beautiful red colour. Love that it is packable and easy to slip on. Only small issue I have is the sizes between 6 and 7 is a huge difference and since it doesn’t come in half sizes, I had to size up to 7 to leave space for fleece socks. I love the look but it feels a bit loose especially without socks on. Otherwise I love the look and the quality of the boots.
