The shoes have a lot of cushioning and are comfortable, but the main reason I bought them was because they were waterproof. I wore them today on a lightly rainy walk and my socks in the toe box were very wet. Very disappointing

Runs smaller than Mach 5
I am a loyal Mach 5 lover for walks and short to mid-distance running, and these definitely run 1/3 to 1/2 size smaller than Mach 5 (I have found Mach 6s do as well). This is similar to the Mach 5 with cushion, but more of a hybrid between Mach 5 and Carbon X, which is firmer (I own the Carbon X 3, which was discontinued). Disappointed that the sizing changed with this model but happy with the feel and support -- I'm a neutral runner who prefers a blend of cushion and responsiveness. Will hopefully exchange for a half size up.
