Bondi 8 Running Shoe (Men)

These do not feel like genuine Hoka shoes. I have been running on Hoka Bondi series shoes in excess of 10 years. I know the real Hoka product. They have a very plush feel to them. I can run a 5K with a brand new pair easy. This pair, purchased from Nordstrom Rack have a harder, and less flexible sole. They are very uncomfortable. I have 1 mile walking on them, and 2 miles running. I understand because I have worn them I can’t return them. I am profoundly dissatisfied with this purchase. They are not authentic Hoka Bondi 8 shoes, I suspect they are an unauthorized imitation. $119 down the drain. Never again.

I'd read and heard so much about Hoka shoes and wanted something with plenty of cushion for long days on my feet. When I saw these on sale, I decided to finally open my wallet. First of all, I love the look and colorway, so good. That said, I was a bit taken aback at first by how narrow and stiff they felt, despite the very thick sole. Since walking around on them more, I can feel them softening and fitting better, so just be aware that these definitely require breaking in. They're still a bit narrow on my feet, but not terribly so. If you have even slightly wider feet, though, I would consider getting the Wide version. Perhaps I just had really high expectations, but as good as they are, I expected my first Hokas to really blow me away, especially considering how expensive they are. Hopefully, as time goes on, they'll continue to feel better and better on my feet.
