Helen Toe Loop Sandal

I’m used to wearing Birkenstocks. I thought it would be similar. As cute as they are, they are actually quite heavy and not very comfortable to wear if I’m walking around for any amount of time. Very disappointing.

I know these shoes are good quality and will last me for a number of years but I cannot wear them for any length of time yet because of the stiffness of the leather. The first time I put them on to wear around the house it only took a few minutes for the leather to literally cut into my middle toes on both feet. I had to set them aside for several days before trying again. No pun intended but it really takes baby steps to break these in and I still have not worn them outside the house. I thought about returning but now I have made an imprint of my feet on the foot bed so it doesn't seem like a good idea to do so. Other than the stiff leather the footbed is very comfortable. For reference, I am 5'2" and 106 lbs.

These really hurt my feet. They rubbed against my skin on the side and caused painful blisters, and some of the skin was scraped off. Normally I like this brand and very comfortable but not this particular one.

Uncomfortable. Returned them.

There is learning curve for my feet but I like the open toes

Darn, I wish they worked! Too long and narrow, stiff leather, hard sole.......SAD FACE.

This is my 3rd pair of Mephisto Helen Sandals and I think these are my favorite! I purchased the dark brown leather color and they are incredibly comfortable with a minimal breaking in period! (Seriously- I wore them around the house for a few hours a day or two and perfect!). I’m a size 8-½ (38) but went to a 9 (39) and they fit great. You can tighten the strap to make them snug or loose.

I love this sandal so much, I have it in five different colors. If you have a bunion, this is the sandal for you. It can be worn with just about anything; including a casual summer dress. The footbed is much more comfortable than the Birkenstock footbed, and the look is much more refined. I wear this sandal every day.

Have repurchased a his sandal for over 10 years. So comfortable and perfect for more foot. Yes you can walk miles in this sandal.

Comfy. Dark brown looks almost black. True to size. Replaced a pair I bought 20 years ago.

Very comfortable straps and footbed. I wear a 9 1/2, European size 40; I bought this in a 10 and the fit is just right, cradles my heel and little toes. I started off with the straps buckled to the second-smallest hole, and they hold firm without being tight. I needed an everyday shoe for walking indoors on tile floors, this fits the bill.

No need to break these in. Ready to go for all day walking. So comfortable and beautiful sea blue color.
