weird height, love the fringe and color

I want these boots to come up higher! The fringe is really cute but they hit in a weird mid calf area for me! I like either short boots or tall and not in between and because of the cute fringe side I’d want this taller. Also hurt to try on- need thicker socks at least until they’d hopefully break in and felt a little snug but hopefully will stretch in time but I returned to get something closer to my preference for that price

These shoes are great but

Frye fringe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off they are beautiful leather boots but Frye sizes aren’t consistent. I first ordered an 8 in a different style that was too big so I ordered the 7. 5 which fit well but returned them for these fringe ones because they were on sale & the same price. Ordered the 7. 5 & they were way too small sent back to exchange for an 8…. which are unfortunately too big. I ordered black & these are brown. I wanted to LOVE them but can’t wear them & they’re a final sale so I’m stuck. Disappointed…. been wanting Frye boots for years but this whole ordering & sending back due to inconsistency in sizes & color was a pain!
