Melissa Leather Shopper

I got the red clay one. It's gorgeous. The leather is thick and soft, the straps just the right length. It has enough pockets for phone, wallet, glasses, a few cosmetics, etc., and a very roomy center compartment. It's a little big for me when I'm not traveling or bringing along my computer, but it's the most beautiful bag I own, and I love using it.

Purchased this tote in the merlot color. It is a nice neutral color that was more appealing than the green that has been in stock online. The tote has limited pockets -- 2 slip pockets and one zip pocket. No outer pocket, which would have been preferred. The handles are not thick so they seem to sit well enough on the shoulder without slipping off. I do wish the handles that connect to the bag were a little thicker, sturdier. I am not sure how heavy I can stuff the bag without straining the straps too much. The leather is nice and not too thin, but it's not very thick either. The bag keeps its shape and stands upright when placed on the ground. There are no protective studs/feet though. The bag I received did have some uneven markings/scratches but I used the Frye leather conditioner and they seem to have faded acceptably. I will keep it as it is a nice bag. I just don't think I can overstuff it with a lot of work items. It also does not have a zipper to close the top, which I was aware of. The magnetic snap does close it if it is not overstuffed.
