Runs Large
Prior review is true. The denim is more distressed than the picture depicted. I ordered the darker color and received the lighter color even though the package states it’s the darker color. The fray around the leg is unevenly cut. Much more distressed than I comfortable with so I am disappointed and sending them back.

WAY too big
I’ve been buying these shorts for 3 years now and have not had issues with my size (25) until this year. I got 2-3 pairs on sale a while back & they were so big, I can pull them off me without undoing my button. I tried shrinking them & it still isn’t a nice fit vs previous years.
I don’t know what free people did this year, but I’m saddened because I wanted more back up pairs of the original shorts I loved so much!
I’m only giving it a 3 because I loved previous years shorts, same name and 2 colors, but for some reason this year is WAY TOO BIG!

The best little denim shorts!
These are the cutest and most flattering denim shorts! The fringed ends don’t “cut off” your legs at the thigh area, as opposed to a blunt edge. They stretch just a little as you where them and wash well, as long as you use a garment bag and the gentle cycle. I love them so much I bought a second set of both the light and dark wash for when I need to replace.
