Foldsack No.1 Water Resistant Backpack

I’ve had this bag for nearly a decade now; my brother gave it to me for Christmas, and it may honestly be the best gift I’ve ever received. It has carried me through college, graduate school, medical school, and it’s been my go-to bag for virtually every trip I’ve taken. It holds up well in mild to moderate rain and reliably keeps its contents dry. The material is thick and extremely durable, and even after 10 years of consistent use, it’s still going strong. I only have two minor complaints. First, if you’re carrying heavier items or oddly shaped loads, you’ll want something sturdy in the internal pocket, otherwise it can press awkwardly against your back. Second, there’s only one exterior pocket, which fills up quickly. On the contrary, that does speak to its simplicity which I can’t deny being a fan of. It’s a great bag and admittedly a bit pricey, but you either buy something good once, or buy something okay several times over. Cheers.

I got it for flying on an airline with small size requirements. It did not work well for me as a travel bag however... probably because I hated the buckles. I thought they were hard to open. I was constantly fighting to get them unhooked. I would not use it again for flying. The good: keeps the rain out and everything dry inside. The straps are comfortable. The fabric is strong. You can definitely stuff a lot of things in the bag.
