The Favorite Floral Maxi Slipdress

I have a short waist so this style helps balance my proportions and the length is perfect. Material is perfectly draped and the cut and print are flattering and versatile - wore it with a black cardigan and flats, but would also look great with a pullover and boots. Saw another reviewer mention it shrunk after a wash so will likely hand wash to hopefully prevent that!

I loved this dress but it shrank a good 3-4 inches…and that’s after I pulled it out of the wash and immediately started trying to stretch it back out because I was like “WHAT??” Washed it on cold per instructions and it says you can tumble dry, but obviously did NOT do that given it had already shrank so much. It also shrank around too, so I’m glad I had sized up to the small. Really disappointed because I loved it for more of its maxi length and now it’s definitely in midi territory. I’d expect a $250 dress to not shrink so absurdly. Included photos with the length difference before and after washing.

I was so happy with this dress for an end of summer wedding. The drape and fit is so flattering. I wore it to a wedding and was looking forward to wearing it to another until I washed it in cold water gentle as the label instructed. I did not dry it in the dryer. It is now 3 inches shorter and at least 1 size smaller. I am grateful that Nordstrom is understanding and is allowing me to return the dress. Honestly, I like it so much I ordered an replacement. I just don't know how I will wash that one when the time comes.
