Sleeveless Stretch Organic Cotton Midi Lantern Dress

95 degree heat? This dress makes it tolerable. I love the fit and flow of the dress. The pockets are an added bonus. I love the texture of the material. The only tricky part for me is to clasp the button at the back of the neck. I have long nails and I feel like it took me about 2 minutes to unbutton it. But that was not a deal breaker. I took my usual EF size and it was just right. You won't regret having this dress in your rotation.

Like so many other reviewers, I found this dress to be incredibly flattering, & I've NEVER bought anything from Eileen Fisher, as her clothes look like shapeless sacks on me. This is flattering because it is cut in a very different way, with no side seams, for one thing. The pockets sit flat on the front of the dress - completely unnoticeable. The tapered hemline is incredibly subtle & a fabulous touch. The only thing that kills it for me is the neckline. I have rather broad shoulders, so the close neck does not look good on me. If the neck were opened up, significantly, into a wide & lowered boat-neck, I'd buy one dress in every color - seriously. Don't get me wrong - I am not looking for anything that shows cleavage - yuck! Just a significantly wider, squared off neck opening that exposes an inch or two below the collar bones. That would be perfection. I am hoping someone from Eileen Fisher might be reading this. This dress is just so close to perfect for me, but not close enough.

I’ve been ‘culling’ my wardrobe now that I’m nearly 80 ( close). I saw this dress & decided to go for it, need a loose dress for Summer. I took a chance & ordered petite large. It’s perfect! The material is comfortable & a tad stretchy (1% elastane). Just enough to hold the shape. I know you’ll think it looks like a tent but it’s not when you put it on. Out of the box it looked like the armholes are too big, they are not that & neither are they tight. I’ve never paid this much for a dress save for my wedding dress 32 years ago - worst dress I’ve ever worn :(. I expect to get a lot of wear from this purchase. It’s a ‘forgiving’ style if you are older ;)
