Metropole Zurich Chelsea Boot (Women)

I like how these are snug around the leg above the ankle - they don’t catch the tops of your pants when you stand up. Wearing a trouser sock they’re perfect, but if you want to wear thicker winter socks or an insole, I’d buy 1/2 size larger. The trouser sock I’m wearing today is synthetic. My foot feels damp (less breathable due to waterproof news). The sole is comfortable for walking, but there is limited arch support if that’s important to you. I bought a 7.5 when they were on sale, which is a great deal. The chocolate brown and black colors are very versatile to style. I’m looking forward to trying a thin wool sock for wicking moisture and seeing if I can fit a small insole for great arch support. I intend to wear these in winter in MN and on a European tour in Dec. These are more stylish than the lace up Sorels I bought, but I might end up with the Sorels on the trip because I got the 8 and it’ll fit the insole. In any case, these boots are really nice for looking good in iffy weather.
