You can definitely tell that these are made from recycled bottles because these were the stiffest shoes I've ever put on in my life. I felt like I was wearing cardboard boxes for shoes. Returned immediately.

Run small and uncomfortable
I did not expect a Dr scholl’s shoe to be this uncomfortable. First, they run small. I’m a solid 8.5 and ordered a 9. My toes were nearly touching the end of the shoe. Then when walking the shoe dug into my toes where the shoe bends. It hurt immediately. These are a no for me.
