Cropped Wide Leg Poplin Pants

I bought these in a small. I normally wear an 6-8. They didn't have a medium in store, but I've since ordered it on-line and will likely return the small. The small is just a bit too snug across the seat in back. If I didn't have a round backside, I could get away with the small. Still, the pants are super comfy. The online photos make these pants look way more sloppy and casual. These pants are more structured and architectural than they appear. The way they hang is what drew me to them. The draw string can slide out and a belt can be added. I prefer the Candied Walnut color because the stitching doesn't stand out as much. On the blue, the white stitching gives the pants a more casual vibe. The Candied Walnut is super cute with a black or grey top that sits at the waist.

I love the drape of these but at 5’3 (28 inseam, size 30 or 10 in pants usually) they were a tad too long. The pleats also seem to lie strangely if you have hips. The medium fit but pulled a bit. The large was too loose to look flattering. I think on someone taller and less curvy they would be cute.
