Better than expected

I was pleasantly surprised by how pleased I am with my new Delsey carry on luggage. It’s super light, rolls like a dream and is roomy enough for all my clothes. I bought it based on the Wire Cutter review and once again they were spot on! My husband wants to replace his carry on with one just like mine.

Unusable after one vacation, terrible quality

The quality of this suitcase is so poor compared to other Delsey items that I believe it may actually be a fake. I have large Delsey Helium suitcases from this exact same line and they have been great, which is why I purchased this smaller one to go with them as a carry on. This is not the same product! First of all, the suitcase handle and wheels are flimsier than my other suitcases from this line, making it impossible to push the suitcase along on the wheels and causing it to tip over frequently. The zipper malfunctioned on the second trip with this suitcase, so it now randomly gapes open after having already been closed, exposing the contents. This is unusable! Hoping I can get a refund even though my return window closed.

Weak zipper

I recently purchased the large suitcase in this set and loved it, so I was excited to swap out my carry on for this one. The first time I packed it (full but not unreasonable), the zipper split. Unzipping and rezipping fixed it. It's not broken, it's just cheap. In subsequent uses it split the same way but in different places. So if I take it in for a warranty repair I don't think they'll do anything except maybe replace it with an equally unreliable zipper. But I have to be very careful about how much I pack and do a double-check every time I zip it. Really disappointing.

I love this replacement - after a decade with an earlier version!

The Helium DLX is about perfect for me. Lightweight, very easy to roll, not too large, and stylish. Yes, basic timeless black and understated. I like it SO much better than the suitcases I have had from much pricier companies that are way too heavy, more cumbersome to lift and to roll, and frankly overpriced.

No a carry on for most airlines

I love the suitcase but it is too big for both American and Delta airlines. It is 23” tall and air line limit is 23”

Well constructed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very sturdy. But measurements online are greater than actual measurements.
