Lucia Slingback Platform Pump (Women)

These are so cute! I wear a size 10, which usually converts to a 41 in Euro sizes, not 40 as the sizing shows here. The 41s are exactly the right length, which leads me to believe that these might run small. Get your usual Euro size, don’t go by the provided conversions. I’m a little concerned about the upper part of the toe box where it goes across the widest part of the foot; on my left foot it’s just a little tight and rubs the sides of my feet. The right foot is perfect. Maybe it’s my feet, but I’ve never needed a wide in anything so I’m guessing it’s the shoe. Anyway, I’m wearing them around the house with socks to try and stretch it out just a little. I bought these for a trip where I’ll be doing a LOT of walking in a city that is dreadfully hot; I wanted something more stylish than sneakers that would protect my feet better than open-toe sandals. I’ve never worn Dansko’s before but I’m hoping they’ll be comfortable since so many restaurant workers who are on their feet all day swear by them. They are comfortable so far, though just a teensy bit heavy. The soles are faux wood, but still feel weighty as if it were real wood. I’m undecided whether they’ll work for the trip, but I’m definitely keeping them for regular wear!
