What it is: A buildable hold curl styling gel that provides moisture, shine and flexible definition.
Who it's for: Ideal for all hair types.
What it does: The Soufflé has been designed for those of you who feel gels make their curls feel dry and stringy. This silky custard has been enriched with moisturizing ingredients like babassu and shea, so it is a moisturizer and a styling gel all in one! Its semisolid texture will melt into a serum between your hands and spread easily on the curls to bring definition, bounce and buildable hold.
How to use: Rub the product between your hands and apply on soaking wet hair with the 'praying hands' method, smoothing from top to ends. Flip your head upside down and scrunch gently with upwards motions to encourage curl to spring back and form their pattern. Air dry or diffuse. Make sure you flip your head in all directions while drying to increase volume. Do not touch hair while drying. Once completely dry, scrunch again to 'break the cast'.

Texture is not the same
Texture is a lot lighter. Its not the same as it used to be. My hair comes out dry and frizzy now even when I am adding more gel. I never needed another product. It wasnt like that when it was in the orange label. Now its blue. Looking else where for a long lasting styling product.

A sophisticated soufflé !

Not the same
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Curl Smith Curl Defining Styling Souffle is not the same. I have gray hair and as anyone with gray hair knows it can have a mind of its own and sometimes just downright disrespectful. I still have a jar (orange label) and it holds my curls so well, I can get at least 5-7 days. I bought a 16oz bottle thinking it would work the same and it does not. I can't get past day 2 without my gray hairs and curls looking dry and frizzy. I on the hunt for new product for this disrespectful gray hair. (and I love my gray hair)

Why did you change it!!!
Last time I bought the soufflé I loved it so much that I bought a large bottle and it has lasted a good while. Now I bought more to replace my used up bottle and you have changed the formula!! What gives? Why would you change the formula for something that had so many good reviews? It doesn’t have the definition and hold like before! This is gonna have to be returned and now I will have to be hunting for something to replace it. Such a disappointment 😕
