Ignite Waterproof Winter Boot (Women)

I'm a size 6.5 and loyal fan of Cougar footwear for many years now. These cold-weather rain boots are designed exactly like the Chelsea Swinton, but they a molded rubber, not leather, and they have zero give. They will not shape to your foot or get softer with wear. Additionally, there is wonderfully, luxurious soft fleece lining inside the entire boot. Typically, fleece-lined (or faux fur lined) shoes wind up compressing down providing for more room. I don't see that happening with these. Also, not only do they seem narrow in width, they are also narrow in depth. They are designed exactly like the Chelsea Swinton, which seem to run a bit roomy. After some trial & error, I went with a size 6 in those. For these I strongly recommend sizing UP. I returned the 6's I purchased just bc I felt like my foot would go numb if I wore them for too long. On other websites that carry this style, almost every review complains about how small these run. About half said they couldn't even get their foot in the boot! That's crazy! Here's the trick: make use of the elastic side panels. That's what they are there for. And pull up with the back tab. I had no issues whatsoever getting my foot in the size 6. But I think the 7 will be significantly better in these. Keeping my fingers X'd! Given the way the 6's fit, I cannot imagine the 7s being too big!
