Fuego Water Resistant 800 Fill Power Down Jacket

This jacket provides great warmth for the insulation layer under my ski shell. The last time out - this past weekend, I removed one of my base layers as I can't recall ever being as warm on a day with similar temperatures with my previous setup. So far so good. I like the drawstrings on the bottom of the coat to keep down the draft under my powder skirt.

I heavily compared this and the Patagonia down jacket since they’re both 800 fill. If you’re paying full price, spend the extra $10 on the Patagonia. The difference in fill amount is worth it by a mile. For the rack price of $150 this jacket will get the job done though. Cotopaxi changed their fit this year so this one still fits true while newer models fit larger but there’s still room for layers underneath. For a premium priced brand I’d expect non plastic zippers but like I said, for The Rack price point things can be overlooked.
