Packable Rain Jacket

The Cole Haan packable rain jacket is nice, but not perfect. First of all, it runs one to two sizes smaller. I’m 5’4” 135 lbs. and can usually fit a relaxed fit XS or regular fit S. I had to order a M for it to fit. Second, the Red color is slightly bordering on Red Orange which is fine for rain gear, but I prefer a true red such as Lipstick Red. Third, the compartment for the stowaway hood is poorly designed as it looks and feels bulky. Even without the hood stowed into it, the collar sits awkwardly high and huge around the neck. The few things about this jacket that I love are: 1) it’s lightweight and packable 2) it’s unlined so the sleeve length can easily be hemmed for petite arm lengths like mine. For now, I honestly haven’t quite decided if I’m going to keep it or return it yet.

I recommend sizing up in this. Runs small in my opinion

There is no lining to this jacket. It's cold on bare skin, only marginally water repellant, and not large enough in the extra large. I had it with me on a trip, so I had to use it, but I didn't like it at all.

X-small is more like a small. Very long sleeves. Otherwise very cute and light. Lovely color.

Very nice jacket. Met all requirements except fit. I ordered an xl so it would be a little roomy and could barely get it on. Very tight in the arms. Have to return it. Very disappointed.

Such a cute jacket and the canyon rose color is even prettier in person. I had to size up from my usual size large (typically a size 12-14 for reference), and it’s still a little snug around the hips when zipped. Otherwise, I love the ability to roll the sleeves (I’m 5’2”), and the over all style. It will definitely get a lot of use in the PNW.

Loved the look of this jacket, but I ordered a medium (usual size). Very small. So I ordered a large. Still can’t move my arms. Not trying the XL. Very disappointed and I ve wasted all this time before a trip.

Perfect for warmer weather, packable, lightweight and a little nicer than an ordinary rain jacket.

This rain jacket is stylish, lightweight and seems to be good quality. However, if your purpose for this jacket is to stay dry in the rain, look elsewhere. I wore this jacket in light rain on a short walk from my car into a shop and was completely drenched! It kept less rain off of me than a Jean jacket!
