Abstract Print Midi Dress

The Navy watercolor print is beautiful and fully lined and the style is very modern and interesting but fit is uncomfortable. As stated by previous reviewers it has to be tied in the back to stay on because the sleeves wont stay up. I sized down from a large/xlarge to a medium and it fit in the high waist with extra room around hips and sleeves. It is almost a circle skirt it is so full which would be great it it weren't so low cut in the bust. I wish I felt comfortable with that low of a cut but alas. I think this could work for some people but not worth the stress of always worrying the tie will come undone and my boob might fall out. Going back.

I really wanted this to work because I really liked the print, loved the bottom/skirt, the pockets were AMAZING, and it would have filled an open spot in my wardrobe. Unfortunately the proportions of the top were off. The armholes were large, the back tie is essential for keeping the dress on but also hard to get the tension just right so it lays nicely, and it was strangely very low-cut in a way that didn't fit with the rest of the styling. For reference I'm 5' 5" and 190lbs, usually a size 16 or XL, and that's what I bought. I'm also short from my waist to my shoulders, and my rib cage and shoulders are broad, so that might have played into the fit issues. I returned it promptly.

I loooooove this fabric. It is GORGEOUS. So I am heartbroken to return this! I'm usually a small or medium (6 or 8), and the small was too big. The XS might be a better fit, but that wouldn't solve the PLUNGING neckline. And I hate adding an insert because then a pretty V-neck is ruined. I wish with all my heart that this fit -- it has a LOVELY swish and pockets!!!!
