Cap Sleeve Silk Dress

The design and cut of this dress is quite clever. It allows for shape and cut at the waist along with generous coverage of the stomach as a plump shorty, it fit very well. However, there are many cons: 1) The pull strings on the sides that allow for shaping the dress to the waist just hang like loose looking like untied ribbons. 2) It’s very thin and does not have a liner. It is all the coverage that it affords. This dress would only be good in hot weather. Even then, it doesn’t feel very protective, it is so so thin. The lightweight of the fabric also creates a lot of static cling. 3) The color, although beautiful, along with the shape of the dress and hanging ties gives hospital gown vibes. Not to mention, the color is very Serena Joy.

This dress can be casual or cocktail party worthy. I wore it with a colorful scarf around the waist and thongs to a pool party. I also wore it to a smart holiday dinner and to a cocktail party. All that was required for formality was a change of accessories-heels instead of sandals, a velvet wrap and jewelry.

The photo does not do this dress justice at all. It is a scrumptious high quality silk. It is elegantly simple . It is classy to the highest degree. The flow is flattering and the simple tie that allows you to rouche is perfect. Since I am not a spring chicken and have evils that I need to disguise this is the most perfect dress for that.
