Halo Shirt

The shirt is missing buttons on sleeve - Nordstrom wants me to pay to ship the damaged item back to them.....buyer beware

I love this shirt. Fits great. Fabric is light so it is really nice in Houston heat and humidity especially if you have to wear a blazer. I purchased a tan/mustard color it’s really a unique and rich looking color. I am 5’11 curvy and 175. Sleeves are long enough. The buttons are covered in fabric and the v-neck is appropriate for a professional work environment and or a headshot photo.

I ordered a size larger than normal after reading reviews. The fit is terrible. Too tight at the chest and the buttons are placed improperly which leaves a gap right at the center of the chest. The shoulders were also quite tight. The waistline is boxy. I'm going to try to give it to a size small woman.

I sized up because of reviews. I wear size 2 which is equivalent to an extra small on this chart. I ordered size small in white and the sleeves are at least 2 inches too short for me. The cuffs are way above my wrists. It looks OK to push them up. I’m not sure that I’ll keep it but knowing me, I probably will considering the price and I don’t want to drive back to Nordstrom‘. The body of the blouse fits fine. I am 5 feet 4 inches and 108 pounds. I really don’t like the puff at the shoulder it’s too much. The material is a very thick polyester. It feels like it has spandex in it, but the tag says 100% polyester. In general, I love polyester blouses because they don’t wrinkle, but this one feels a tiny bit plasticky and extra thick. Not loving it. Now that I’ve written this out completely and thought about it I’m going to return it. There’s gotta be a better white blouse out there.

For the price, it works. The neckline is flattering and the fabric weight hangs well. It’s great under a blazer or in humid Georgia weather. The material isn’t exactly soft but it’s not scratchy either. It looks nice, is professional, not shiny and cheap looking. I have narrower shoulders and a larger bust so it looks great tucked in and does minimize a larger bust. If someone has wider shoulders then I could see it pulling awkwardly or the sleeves hiking up. I’m 5’4” and size small with longer torso and average arm length for reference.
