Love the little houndstooth
The texture makes these pants different than the solid colors in the "weekday warrior". Just enough "different" to make him feel like he's stepping out a bit of his norm (black, grey, navy) but not so far out there that feels trendy. Classic and polished.

Not the BONOBOS from several years ago.
I absolutely love my Bonobos pants I bought several years ago (4-5 pairs). Thick material, clever and unique button...that's all gone. The new material is super thin and they switched to the cheap regular button. Now, the magic is gone but the prices are higher than before.
