Whats my size going to be today Black Halo

I love this brand , but it’s such a toss up on sizing. I typically wear an 8 in dresses . With this brand it’s a guessing game . The Jackie O dresses I have to wear a 10 and ordered a 10 with this dress. It’s so small I cannot zip it all the way. Ordered a 12 and unfortunately will need to get it altered to fit correctly. I love this brand hate the sizing!
