Metallic Floral Halter Top Gown

I bought this dress for my daughter's Med School Prom. I wasn't sure if she'd like it or not as I wasn't quite sure about the pattern, fabric and colors. To our surprise, this dress turned out to be absolutely lovely. The metallic gun metal color has the right amount of shimmer as to not be gaudy and the contrasting navy pairs beautifully with. What I LOVED about this dress the most is that there's this underlying blue in the dress that in the light almost looks iridescent in the sun/light. It's hard to explain, you'd have to see it in person. As far as the fitting goes - the dress fit beautifully on my daughter and the neckline and shoulder cut is very elegant and flattering. The only thing I didn't love so much (and thus the 4 stars) is that the back of the dress is quite long even with heels. It's manageable but know that you basically have a train on this dress. I think we will probably have it tailored so that the hem is even all the way around because as it is - it's a tripping hazard. The dress comes under your feet a lot, so if you wear heels or someone else steps on it - it could quite possibly tear. I think this minor issue isn't enough to warrant not keeping it though because the dress is very pretty and my daughter is VERY happy with it.
