Short Trench Peacoat

I live in Los Angeles where the weather never gets so cold that you need a full-length wool peacoat. I thought this cropped style would be a perfect compromise for SoCal winter weather-- not too light, not too heavy, can be dressed up or down. In all those ways this jacket fits the bill great! It seems to be made with quality, and the fabric is nice-- softer than your normal wool peacoat, but still heavy and thick with a smooth lining. I am short (5' 1") and usually a petite 2, so I ordered the XS. I will say I was disappointed that it's a bit bulky on me, even when considering the boxy style. The way it's cut just makes it look like there's more of it than me, arms too long, and I can attest that the shoulders hit lower than they probably should. I really like the coat overall though, so might consider getting it tailored.
