I have another Barbour waxed coat in a smaller size but I have unfortunately gained weight the past year, and this is cut totally different so I got a 12 in this. It is a spring jacket; a thick tee is the most which will comfortably fit. Size up for thicker layers. It has a thin fleece lining, good pockets, and covers my backside. I would have liked a different lining on the sleeves because I need to cuff them slightly.

Do NOT order this jacket
I have two other Barbour jackets in size 6, and both fit with some extra room so I can layer sweaters underneath. Because I wanted to wear this one as a spring jacket without a sweater, I stuck with size 6. It just arrived, and when I opened the package I laughed because it honestly looks like a CHILDREN’S size!! I can barely get it on and can’t even bend my arms!! I am 5’6” and weigh about 120lbs. It is going back to Nordstrom’s. Waste of my time. So annoyed.

believe the reviews on sizing
I’m a true US 6, so I ordered an 8 based on reviews that it ran small. I could full zip the jacket and was comfortable as long as I didn’t raise my arms at all. I probably would’ve needed to size up to a 10 to comfortable move my arms, but then it would’ve been too big through the torso. Otherwise, it seemed good quality.

Love the look and feel however way too small. I am an xs and sometime and xxs and the 2 was so tight there would be no way to wear a long sleeve shirt under.

ordered 12 but too small for layering
I'm usually anywhere between an 8-10 and thought by ordering 12 would be safe. Wrong! My jacket is going back and I've now ordered the 14 to see how it fits.

Beautiful jacket but too small
I would give this 5 stars if it fit. I really wanted to keep this but it's too tight in arms and won't close in chest. I normally wear a 4 or Small. Given the reviews, I ordered a 6 in Navy. I'm returning and will see if I can find an 8 or 10. Bummer as the style is beautiful with enough coverage on bottom and the weight is perfect for a Summer jacket. It has a light lining which makes it warm.
