Embroidered Peplum Shirt Jacket

This jacket is heavier weight than I anticipated, more of a jacket weight which is what they call it, but it looks more like a shirt. I am not sure I would get much use of it as a jacket given it doesn't lay well when open and it is big on me. It is very well made, nice fabric, stunning embroidery and love the snaps. My biggest concern is that it does run big despite stating it is TTS. I am typically a M though sometimes I wear a S, and this item is very wide through the body and the sleeves are too long. Elastic is not tight enough to keep sleeves from covering my hands. While it still looks really cute, the body is too wide to be flattering. Will return and would consider a smaller side but none are available. The other issue I would have is figuring out when to wear given the heavier weight; it is too lightweight for an evening in the winter and too heavy for the rest of the year in AZ.
