my idea of a LBD
i watch a lot of costume dramas and am interested in victorian, edwardian and belle epoque fashion. i've been in search of a dress that has design elements of those eras. i love everything about this dress, from the slightly puffed long sleeves to the smocked bodice and the tulle overlay. the only way it could be more perfect is if it had pockets.
it's worth noting that the smocking doesn't expand very much (i only have one other dress to compare to, and it has a lot more elasticity) and the dress could be worn without a bra.
the only complaint i have is that the sleeves are too short for me - if i'm not moving, the cuffs stay at my wrists but as soon as i move around, they slide up.
