Vinya Cotton Dress

At first, I wasn’t sure about ordering this dress as I am hourglass…I thought the skirt part might make me look too full on the bottom… I am a curvy size 10…5’10” and the size L fit perfect. A regular strapless bra works perfectly underneath and really does enhance the shape of the dress in balancing out the fullness of the skirt. Love the fabric and is excellent quality.

I really wanted to love this dress but it just wasn’t flattering. The material feels nice but the skirt has too much material that it made my busty petite frame look bigger than it is. Also I’m 5’3” so the dress hit closer to my ankles than my knees. It overwhelmed my frame. Returning unfortunately.

I wanted to love this dress! So much so that I originally bought a medium, and it was huge, so I purchased both the small and extra small trying to make it work. Unfortunately, even when the dress fit it didn’t quite lay right on the hips or hit right lengthwise. I think it’s just made for a really tall, thin figure. The way the silhouette is designed, you need to have a long torso for it to lay right. The fabric is beautiful, however, and the gathering around the hips feels really expensive. If you’re going to give it a try, size down.
