Loretta Weatherproof Suede Bootie (Women)

The packaging was so terrible that I took off 2 stars- the bag arrived opened, there was no lid on the box, the box was smashed and torn, there was no stuffing or tissue in the box- a pricey pair of boots tossed into the remains of a box. Do better Nordstrom! The boots survived, they are lovely, I sized up 1/2 size to a 9 1/2 for the right fit.

I had been looking for a nice brown bootie but didn’t want to spend so much that I had to wear them forever. I also need a wider toe box so pointed toes were not an option. I saw these, loved the dark brown, and decided to give them a try. In order to wear a sock, I sized up a half size to 5 1/2. The boots are comfy and I think I can wear them shopping or some other place where I will walk a lot. My only slight negative is the shaft is a little snug. Since these are suede, I feel they will stretch a bit over time.

First, let me say that these boots in Espresso Suede are a beautiful color. I typically wear a US 9 or EU 40 and lengthwise, these fit fine in the 9.5. Unfortunately, my feet are on the wider side of medium and they fit more snug than I'd like a boot to fit. Also, I wish the shaft were an inch or two higher and hugged my ankles more. I bought a pair of dark brown suede OTK boots that fit me way better, so I'm returning these. In case anyone was wondering, these boots did not arrive in a shoebox.

I am a huge Aquatalia fan and have acquired several of their shoes and booties over the years! They are typically stylish, comfortable and the fact that they are also waterproof is a bonus! This pair is a classic - love the colour, the heel and the sleek look and I was looking forward to wearing them with a bunch of different outfits. Unfortunately, however, they will have to go back. They definitely run small and after walking around the house in them for an hour, my feet started to beg for freedom. I usually wear a size 11 medium and have been able to comfortably fit into size 10.5 or 11 in Aquatalia booties, so I agree with other reviewers that this style runs small.
