Comfortable, Stylish, and Well-Made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Black Ludlow Sneakers arrived well packaged and fit true to size. They're comfortable, stylish, and have the quality you'd expect from Allen Edmonds. They look good with dark or grey jeans and offer a nice balance between casual and dressy. The slip-on design is convenient, and the stretch fit keeps them securely in place. The rubber soles also provide good grip. Overall, a comfortable, well-made sneaker that's great for casual wear. I'd recommend them.

Looks Great But Not The Fit

This shoe looks terrific and the outer material very comfortable. Interior not so good. The collar/foot entrance to the shoe is too small for its size, making entry difficult. Once shoe-horned into the shoe, comfort declines rapidly. This seems to be due to 2 things; 1) the tongue hold-down elastic straps are too tight/small and 2) the actual shoe is a good half size or more too short/small. See the attached pics. Comparative shoe is the slip-on Oliver model. I could possibly try a half size or more larger shoe, but I don't want to play that game. My AE shoe size is a solid 11D in all the correctly built AE shoes I own. Note: The Oliver model tongue elastic strap is a single one at the 12 o'clock position and works much better than the 2 side straps on the Ludlow's tongue, thus a much better fit.
