Drop Waist Cotton & Linen Midi Dress

I SO wish I could have kept this dress, but I’m a 5’4” hourglass (athletic swimmer - small waist, broad shoulders, normal hips) and this didn’t do my figure any favors. The basque waist rather than being a flattering V shape was kind of a W and the torso felt quite long which made me look stout rather than sleek. Unfortunately it threw my proportions off completely and didn’t compliment my figure. But oh my god the color of this dress is divine and the quality was excellent! I am so sorry to return it but it’s just not for me.

This dress is beautiful! I am usually a size 2-4 and I agree with the previous comments that the bust area runs a bit smaller than average. I ordered the small and am a 34 inch bust, it was a bit on the tighter end, but I am happy I don’t need to worry about exposing anything. Overall I think this dress is beautiful. I loved it so much that I purchased it in two other colors!

I wore this dress at my graduation and got so many compliments the day of! The drop-waist was even more flattering in person, which I was concerned about at first because I have quite a long torso, but it looked great. There was plenty of room in the chest, which I often struggle with in these smaller sizes, so that was perfect. I'm very asymmetrical in the chest (A & B) and this dress hid it well since it's less structured but still not too loose. My only complaints are that the top was slightly too wide with the straps properly tightened (tiny bit of extra fabric under the arms, not noticeable to others) and the clasp for the hook at the top of the zipper instantly fell off the back when I tried the dress on. Overall, though, pretty much a perfect fit and a totally gorgeous dress. Could easily be dressed up or down, and I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of it!
