Tayla Floral Jacquard Lantern Minidress

A beautiful pattern but this is the worst craftsmanship and material I’ve ever seen on an article of clothing, let alone one at this price. This was beyond loose threads, it arrived looking like a hamster had been gnawing in it, the edges were violently shredded, loops of thread displaced and pulling all over. Just looking like it had been worn and washed a thousand times already. A real shame because the design was beautiful, execution was shameful.

Alice and Olivia is a great brand but do NOT buy this dress. It just arrived in the mail and it doesn’t look like it’s been worn but the material is very low quality, the threads are coming out not just at the seams but also through the rest of the dress. Not sure why the company decided to use this material. It is not even holding up in the original packing so not sure what will happen after 1 wear. I wanted to wear at New years but returning this without even trying it on.

This dress is more like a piece of art! It is GORGEOUS. Stunning. But… (and there are a few) (1) strings of fabric from the appliqué had already separated from the dress; (2) big breasts beware! I went up in size to allow my size 34DD/DDD breasts some room to fit; then I had to have the dress altered & did so at Nordstrom. I should’ve listened to the seamstress when she suggested that this dress just might not be for those with larger breasts, but she thought she could make it work. Fast forward - it’s going to be returned. I wanted to love this dress SO much but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. The straps were too long, and the skirt was more A-line than the picture shows. The seamstress took in several inches to make it lay more like a sheath mini dress.
