Danla Metallic Embroidered Floral Minidress

I wanted to love this dress, the black and gold material is lovely and the fit and flare style is right up my alley. But unfortunately, everything about this dress is just a little bit wrong. The straps are too long, although that would be a fairly easy alteration. The top of the dress is too big overall however, and doesn't have nearly enough structure for something that would be worn without a bra. The skirt has a lining with this bizarre 3 inch hoop skirt band, to make the outer skirt stand out. But the result is that you effectively can't sit down in the dress, as it's so uncomfortable. The pockets also poof out strangely on an already puffy skirt.

I wanted to live the dress. Out of the box it is impeccable and beautiful. I wasn’t sure about the 3 bows but they look good. Anyway, it has pockets and it constructed well. The problem is the back of the dress. The way the material gathers and is sewn at the tailbone is not flattering. It bunches out and lays flat in an odd position. Almost like it has been sewn incorrectly. The other downside is the chest area. I am a 32C and it makes me look flat chested. It has a corset line running up through the chest which provides the flat appearance.
