Sydney Wedge Espadrille Sandal (Women)

I love this versatile sandal that can fit a variety of foot widths! I generally wear wide widths but this sandal is accommodating with adjustability in the front and ankle straps. Plus, the added arch support makes this shoe even better so that I can wear it for extended lengths of time. The leather is soft and the velcro is wide enough where it doesn't come undone while wearing the sandal. While the description states this is a 3" heel, it's actually 2" for your foot due to the platform in the front. I recommend spraying the jute with a stain barrier spray because I didn't do that with my last wrapped pair and parts of the natural color jute ended up looking dirty. Great sandal!

I fell in love with the Aetrex Sydney after trying on a pair at a local boutique shoe store. The combination of comfort, height and style is always a winner in my book. I talked myself out of buying them because they only carried it with the orange striped heel - pricey for a color I don't typically wear. I looked at what other colors it came in but there was nothing that I really needed to justify buying...nonetheless, I would periodically search "Aetrex Sydney" to see what was out there. Although I already have 2 other pairs of slate blue sandals, as soon as I saw that Nordstrom's had it on sale below 50%, I had to jump on it! Nice to have my search to own a pair of these lovely shoes over with! Note: I marked these true to size as I typically wear a size 39 in European sized shoes; however, I do wear an 8 in US size...so if you are used to US sizing, it is on the smaller side. Also, Aetrex shoes are known for their arch support which is noticeable. For me, it's a big selling point and adds to the comfort. It fills a gap that I feel in other shoes with height. But I can see how it might feel out of place for some.

This make the third pair of Sydney's I have purchased. I never thought i would ever to be able to wear a heel again without having issues involving my lower back or the balls of my feet and my toes. I can wear these sandals all day and for pretty much any occasion. They are extremely comfortable and, not only that, they are extremely stylish, as well. Something you don't always find with shoes that are only designed for "old ladies with issues". I'm in my 70's and these shoes far exceeded my expectations for style and comfort. They are well worth the price!!
