East Side Loafer - Wide Width Available (Women)

I followed the suggestion of the previous review and order my regular size (7.5) and half size up (8.0). With size 7.5, the opening of the shoes would sit below my ankle which was perfect. However, the pointy toes were super narrow compared to other brands. The whole shoes were completely snugged, which hurt so much when walking. With size 8, the shoe opening sat right at my ankle which would hurt a bit, yet, the toe areas were enough room to wiggle. I decided to keep size 8 and returned 7.5.

I read so many reviews about this shoe and was so excited and nervous to receive them especially because so many people had sizing issues. I ordered the black lizard style and overall they are a very pretty and stylish looking shoes. The things I don’t like is that it’s advertised that this is in fact a leather shoe but it’s not. It clearly says on the shoe “All Man Made Materials” This is the most disappointing fact because I really wanted a leather loafer. As for the sizing I ordered my “normal” size. I’m between a 6.5 and 7 and I wear a 7 in the Clarks brand so figured it would work with this one. This was also disappointing. The size 7 is slightly large. If this was a true leather shoe this would be a problem but might not be a huge issue considering it’s not real leather. I’m still deciding on whether I want to keep these or not.

I ordered black and brown, both in a 10.5. The black seemed a bit narrow in the toes and I was worried they would be uncomfortably tight. The brown meanwhile was too big and slipped off my heels when I walked. They came in different color boxes and I suspect one was made in a different year than the other with different specs. Holding a brown shoe up to a black one, the brown was noticeably larger and had a different color sole. So if they come in a green box, they run large. In a white box they run narrow. You’re rolling the dice.
