soft but still sleek (not sateen!)
like other reviewers mentioned - sateen is a bit of a misnomer. don’t expect any shine; these are brushed and ultra-soft, more like a sleek twill and good weight for spring/fall. If I see these in a cream or navy color, I’m snagging another pair!
I’m 5’4” but leggy so length is fine, but they are shorter than I expected. They hit just past my ankles but not long enough for heels (~29” inseam?). Waist is TTS with some stretch to the fabric - comfy to wear but won’t stretch baggy by the end of the day, so I’d stick with your size in low/no stretch denim.

not sure I got the correct item
I got a brushed jegging not pants at all! It says between straight and wide leg but I got skinny, stretchy jeans. I sized up per comments and they fit but not at all the picture or what I expected. Returning.

Fabric and sizing
These pants are actually velveteen not sateen- a very nice soft brushed fabric. I did have to size up two sizes- needed a 29 in these instead of my usual 27.

Definitely not sateen, more of a brushed velvet. I’m normally a size 25/0 in pants and jeans. Had to order a 26. Pants fit snug and have zero stretch, so size up 1 for fitted or 2 for more relaxed fit.

RUNS 3X SMALL!
I got these pants in my normal size and they were freakishly small. The material is not sateen it’s more of a fake velvet and it attracts every speck of dust and lint. I would not bother buying these pants unless you want to have the hassle of returning these.
