definitely not petite size
I’m 5 feet tall with a 30 waist and 38 1/2 hips. these jeans was slightly tight at the waist but too big around the hips and they were definitely too long for me. It was supposed to be petite size ankle length but for $30 I’ll shrink them in warm water. Hopefully they’ll look good if these pants were more than $30 I would be returning them.

Waist runs small
I will echo the point that this particular model, the waist runs small. Legs fit lik photo but waist is too tight. This might work for someone with more of an hourglass waist ratio though! Length was also good as in photo and I am 5'6".

I would size down. Quality seems good but these are bigger than prior pants I’ve ordered from the brand in petite. Waist is fine but the leg is enormous for a skinny jean.

inconsistent sizing
For some reason this brand sells an almost identical pair of ankle jeans that fits me perfectly (the product name is exactly the same except doesn't have the word "modern"), but these are two inches longer.
