Looks great -- until you wash it
I normally don't write reviews but I felt like I should given my experience with this specific item. I recently became a fan of the Zella brand after making an impulse purchase at Nordstrom's, and finding that I loved how comfortable the clothes are. I went on to buy more Zella items after that including this pullover, which I bought in a burgundy color to match heathered Zella leggings. I really liked the pullover -- the first time I wore it. Once I washed it, however, it pilled all over, which made it look very worn and cheap. I think the fabric choice is, unfortunately, the issue with this item. The cord at the waist also came out in the wash; normally, I would try to reinsert it but I'm not even sure I'm going to wear this item again given how it looks now. Given the price tag of this item and the positive experiences I've had with other Zella products, I really didn't expect to be so disappointed with this pullover. If you're considering buying it, I'd recommend you make a different choice.

Pilling (little balls all over) after 1 month
This is really cute and fits well. The gathered waist is a nice touch. It is a thick, warm material. I got the white-ish color. Nice neckline too. If you tend to get hot, this doesn’t breathe well. The biggest issue is its pilling after a month. I paid full price. Disappointing.
For reference I am 5’8 and 180. I am an hourglass shape with a DD chest. I ordered the large.

A for design, D on fabric
I LOVED this sweater when it arrived. I wore it twice and noticed it was pilling significantly. Washed by hand and hung dry but not comfortable wearing out of the house now because this sweater looks 2 years old. For the price this is not acceptable. I ordered a second one, but it will be going back.
