Wool & Cashmere Cardigan

Considering what I paid for this sweater, I am quite disappointed with the quality. It pills like crazy! It is soft and sleeves are wide enough for layering. The grey color is a good neutral one that goes with many things. But I have sweaters for which I paid about half the price and are 10+ years old that do not pill like this one. Regarding sizing, this is consistent with the current trend to oversize everything. I usually wear Small or Medium and I sized down to XS so sleeves don't come down to my knuckles.

Extremely disappointed in this 'final sale' item. It has clearly been worn before. Arrived covered in cat hair, long strands of human hair, lint... and was pilled. I've never had this experience with Nordstrom Rack before but for what I paid for this item and the condition it arrived, this may be the end of our relationship.

I wouldn't normally spend quite so much on a sweater, but I had a feeling this was going to be something that I'll wear a lot. The gray color makes it very versatile. Once I received it, I knew I was right. The sweater is really beautiful. The ribbed detail along the front opening is a luxe touch. The knit is substantial, but not chunky. It's very soft and it has a lovely drape. It looks nice and professional on video calls for work. There are no pockets at the hips to add bulk. One thing you can't really tell from the product photos is that the line of the front opening curves very slightly inward at the waist and outward at the hip, hinting at an hourglass shape. If it came in other light colors, I'd buy them too, but thankfully my wallet is spared. I normally wear size Small tops and I ordered this in Small, and it's a perfect fit.

This sweater appears to be well-made, but for the price, I wanted a nicer handfeel. It's not itchy, but it's not very soft like cashmere or fine merino. Being a natural fiber, it could just be the one that I got, but it did not live up to the expectation based on the description. The fit is nice, slightly oversized. I had to cuff the sleeves as they were a bit long on me.
