The color and style were appealing. I rarely have sizing issues with shoes as a standard size 8 with narrow to normal width. The toe strap is so tight that the shoes are unwearable for the size 8. My 16 year old who is the same size 8 with a narrower width than me and routinely shops my closet cannot bear the restricted straps either. If you have a very narrow foot, these may work but these are too tight for an average or large width.
