Belted Square Neck Midi Dress

I normally don’t write reviews, but they help me tremendously when purchasing items so I’m going to review this piece. The material is very soft and the dress fall very nicely I normally wear a sz 27/4 in most denim, 28 if the denim is rigid. I purchased a sz small and the fit was ok but the “straps” were too loose. Since the dress is stretchy I’m going to try an xs and see if that works. It is more of a low cut dress for anybody who does not like that, this dress would not be for you

I returned this in both colors after trying on an L and M for size. For me, the L was way too big and I tend to wear a 12 in dresses. The M fit better but still left me a little overwhelmed with fabric as it hung shapelessly even with the self tie belt. The straps were also big on me and slightly loose - not that they would fall off, but I knew I would be adjusting them often. As for color, the orchid is a great neutral and very pretty, but again, for my frame it felt like too much fabric in this neutral color. Ultimately, the question was, would I wear this to an event tonight? No. Would I wear it around the house in the heat? Probably. But it is better suited for a taller frame than mine.

I ordered this hoping it would be a great black dress to have to throw on to go anywhere svc add a longer cardigan if needed. Seemed like it would be so versatile. It really didn’t do anything for me…. Not that flattering. The straps would definitely not stay up and are not adjustable. They lay in an awkward spot on your shoulder. Sadly, it went back.
