Lug is Too Heavy
The shoe was too heavy and too hard. I returned them.

Love!!!
LOVE these shoes! They are so cute and I get so many compliments! Snug getting my foot in but I feel them loosening up every day that I wear them. Giving it a 4 star because the more I wear them I feel like I should’ve not listened to the reviews that they run large and got my usual size when I buy vagabond shoemakers. I wish Nordsteom carried these in store so it’s easier to try on!!

Not Designed with Human Foot in Mind
These shoes are so cute! Perfect chunky sole and really well made. I went to the manufacturer website and measured my foot and it was right at the top length for the size seven so I ordered a 7 and 8. Unfortunately they weren't designed with the human foot in mind. Both sizes were nearly impossible to put on. I used a shoe horn and the opening was so tight it damaged the leather around the ankle :( Once on the 8 was too big (my ankle was slipping out when walking), and the 7 was too short (my toe rubs against the front). Hoping they'd stretch out I wore the 7 one day and got a ton of cuts and blisters. I bought a shoe stretching spray and device and they've loosened up a bit, but the are still very stiff to wear. I'm stubborn and they're cute so I'll keep them, but be warned of the pain.

Double check your EU sizing
I normally wear an 8 in most shoes and am a 39 in EU sizing. In this shoe, 39 EU corresponds to a 9 in US sizing as opposed to an 8. An 8 would’ve been way too small and this 9 fits just right! Such a cute shoe.

SO SAD!
I purchased this shoe on Nordstrom.com after quite a bit of searching for the PERFECT chunky lug sole loafer. These shoes are gorgeous! So well-made so substantial I just know that they will stand the test of time. But I am so sad because they don’t fit. I wear a US size 11 women’s shoes. There were no reviews on this shoe when I ordered them so I went to the vagabond Shoemaker‘s website and they don’t even have reviews on their site for any of their shoes. I took a chance I thought being $175 they'd more than likely be well made. and I was right they are extremely well-made but they must be a full size smaller then what they advertise. I could not even get them on with a shoehorn! I noticed after thinking well they must’ve just sent me the wrong size that printed inside the upper they have the sizes for UK and the US and they said that they are a UK 41 usually when I see shoes in my size 11 US that correlates to a 43 or a 42. I don’t understand this huge discrepancy. I can’t tell you how sad I am to be taking these shoes back I searched and searched and of course when I came to the Nordstrom website I see that a review was added the day that I ordered my shoes it might’ve given me second thoughts although it looks like the girl says that "it took an act of God“ to get the shoes on but she thinks they’ll stretch out. I think it will take a lot maybe even professional she’s stretching for me to even get my foot into it and since I’m a hairstylist and I’m on my feet for 10 to 12 hours every day at work I can’t take the chance. i’ve battled plantar fasciitis I have bad knees and back pain now so I really really was looking for the perfect shoe to wear to work with jeans, leggings, or even a cute dress.

Stunning shoe, but needs to be broken in!
I just received these shoes in the mail today and they are everything I hoped for and more. I love everything about them, BUT it took an act of god for me to get my foot into these shoes. They are SO stiff and pretty snug (I have a wider foot). Having that said, I think after I wear them enough and get them broken in, they will be my go-to shoe. I don’t mind the stiffness that much because I think they will hold up and wear nicely for a long time, but the first try on was a struggle. Overall a beautiful and well-made shoe that, in my opinion, is worth the struggle to get into at first.
