Denim Trench Coat

I'm perplexed by the negative reviews. This coat is adorable! I have a million different denim jackets, even a longer trench coat similar to this. But this one is very lightweight, incredibly soft, and so, so flattering! I'm 5'9 and wear a size 14, so I could see where it might be a bit overwhelming on a small/shorter frame. But I absolutely love it! I got a size large, and while it turns out a medium might fit as well, this is just loose enough to feel casual, kind of like a 'boyfriend' jacket. It has a very Free People sort of vibe.

There are embellishments that distinguish this from a 'bathrobe' - the epaulet-like belt tabs, the puckered cuffs, the double-seamed lapels, the one perfectly placed button and of course, the denim itself. I did size down, so it does fit fairly spot on. I think a little flair, like a military-style brooch, would spice it up even more. It's definitely a keeper.
