Bridgeport Mechanical Pocket Watch, 47mm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Years ago, beginning as a sophomore, as I was graduating from the University of Georgia I was honored with membership in Phi Kppa Phi, Beta Amma Sigma, And Omicron Delta Epsilon honor societies, with, of course, the keys, the symbols of these organizations. Now I could have but them in a box and let it go at that. But as it happened I was invited to a graduation celebration at the completion of an executive management course taught in Washington D.C. by Harvard University faculty. Since this was to take place on campus in Cambridge, I thought it would be appropriate to wear these academic keys. I decided the best way to do this was to buy a watch chain and display the keys attached to it. But, I didn’t have time to buy a pocket watch before the trip to Harvard. Now many years have passed and I decided that it would be a good idea to revisit that project. After some research I settled on the Tissot Bridgeport Pocket Watch. This watch is a beautiful skeleton rendition in a modern stainless steel and rose gold reproduction of a 19th century classic. It is a perfect completion to this long-in-process journey to find an appropriate way to wear the memory of a special moment in time as I began my academic career.
